Tag-Connect® — debug cables without a connector
Tag-Connect cables contact the board through spring-loaded test pins. All that remains on the board is the footprint with its holes — no soldered connector taking up space and adding cost to every unit. For production runs that are programmed once, or debugged only when something fails, this is the cheaper solution.
The variants differ in three respects: pin count (6, 10 or 14), pitch, and whether they have retaining legs. NL stands for "no legs" — these cables need a retaining clip or a steady hand, but they save the corresponding holes on the board.
