Short description
Edge-Connect™ cable with six contacts at the board edge, terminating in the ARM Cortex debug connector — the 10-pin 0.05″ header carried by Keil ULINK2 and most Cortex debuggers.

What you need it for
Edge-Connect places the contacts on the edge of the board rather than on its surface. The target board needs no mating connector at all — just the plated half-holes along the edge and one hole for location. That saves space and the cost of a component on every board you build.
Six contacts are enough for SWD. If you need JTAG or additional signals, use the 10-contact version.
The difference from the ECV3-06-IDC
Both cables have the same board side — the same six-contact edge pattern, the same locating hole. What differs is the other end: the ECV3-06-IDC carries a 6-pin 0.1″ header, this one the 10-pin Cortex header on a 0.05″ pitch.
So it is your debugger that decides, not your board. If in doubt, measure the pin spacing on your programmer: 2.54 mm means ECV3-06-IDC, 1.27 mm across ten pins means this cable.
