6-pin TC2030 cable with legs and a 20-pin 1.27 mm connector — for debuggers with the ARM Cortex Debug+ETM port: IAR I-Jet, Keil ULINK Pro, SEGGER J-Trace. Electrically identical to the TC2030-CTX; only the debugger-side connector differs.

Easily confused: The classic 20-pin ARM connector has the same pin count at twice the pitch.

The connector in question

The 20-pin connector at 1.27 mm pitch is ARM's Cortex Debug+ETM connector (Samtec FTSH, 2 × 10). It sits on trace-capable debuggers — IAR I-Jet and I-Jet Trace, Keil ULINK Pro, SEGGER J-Trace and J-Link with the 19-pin adapter. This cable plugs straight in.

Not to be confused with: the classic 20-pin JTAG connector at 2.54 mm pitch (standard J-Link, ULINK2, ST-LINK/V2) is a different one. That takes a TC2030-IDC with an adapter — ARM20-CTX or COLL-ARM20-06-IDC.

What the six pins carry — and what they don't

SWDIO, SWCLK, SWO, nRESET, VCC and ground. That is SWD with Serial Wire trace over SWO. The four parallel ETM trace lines of the 20-pin connector are not carried by a 6-pin footprint. For ETM trace over Tag-Connect you need the 14-pin ECV3-14-2AP-ETM.

With legs

The four legs are sprung latches on the cable head. They snap into four latch holes in the board and hold the cable without a clip and without a thumb — two fingers release it. For boards without latch holes there is the TC2030-CTX-20-NL.
