Important note
254 mm (10″) exceeds Microchip's specified maximum cable length of approx. 200 mm (8″) — officially not supported by Microchip. Per Tag-Connect, this hasn't caused known problems in practice: Microchip only specifies the cable length, not the actual trace distance between the RJ12 connector and the microcontroller — the compact TC2030 footprint lets you place the ICD connection close to the MCU.

The order is mirrored: contact 1 of the footprint sits on pin 6 of the modular plug. The signals are Microchip ICSP — if you know the TC2030 footprint from the ARM world, note the difference: ground is on contact 3, not contact 5.
Assignment measured by us — not yet documented by the manufacturer. The measurement was taken on the TC2030-MCP; this article has the same cable internals.
